NGC 7000 — the North America Nebula
The “Gulf of Mexico” region (around the bright cutout) is one of the most densely-packed star-forming regions visible from the northern hemisphere. Sitting right next to Deneb in Cygnus, it’s bigger than most people realize — about four full moons wide.
